Training for District Superintendents and Directors of Connectional Ministries

A District Superintendent (DS) serves as an extension of the episcopal office and functions as the district’s chief mission strategist, overseeing the ministry of clergy and churches in the communities of their assigned area.

A Director of Connectional Ministries (DCM) serves as a steward of the annual conference’s vision. They are typically charged with aligning the resources of the conference with its vision and with enabling connections among the various ministries of the annual conference.

The DS-DCM Orientation is an onboarding experience for DSs and DCMs. It’s hosted by the Council of Bishops and facilitated in collaboration with the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry and Discipleship Ministries.

The 2024 DS-DCM Orientation will be held July 28-August 1, 2024 at Lake Junaluska, NC.

Registration information will be available in the Spring of 2024.
