Higher Education is a significant part of our United Methodist heritage, our present task, and our future responsibility. The Division of Higher Education represents the United Methodist Church in its relationships with educational institutions and campus ministry. The division has an advisory and consultative relationship to all United Methodist-affiliated institutions, including universities, colleges, secondary and special schools, Wesley Foundations, and similar organizations, as well as campus ministry groups.
Through the denomination’s Black College Fund, The United Methodist Church supports the largest number of Historically Black Colleges and Universities of any church body in the United States.
The Division of Higher Education develops policy and practice that enables the United Methodist Church to engage effectively in higher education throughout the world.
