International Grants and Scholarship Program (GraSP) Overview

The General Board of Higher Education and Ministry is proud to offer GraSP which helps to offset some of the educational cost for international students. This program is available for talented students who can have a great impact in local communities beyond their place of origin and who desire training to serve the church and society at a global level.

Who Should Apply for GraSP?

Methodist students living outside of the United States. This includes students from the following areas: Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America.

To be eligible for this award, you must:

  • Be a student in high school, college, seminary or university
  • Be accepted officially to a Methodist-related educational institution or institution affiliated with the International Association of Methodist-related Schools, Colleges and Universities (IAMSCU).
    • Methodist-related and IAMSCU-related Schools, Colleges and Universities
  • Be a member of a United Methodist-related church and receive the recommendation of its pastor.
  • Show evidence of good academic standing and engagement in the community.

Visit to begin your application. You will need to establish an account if you have not previously applied for grants and scholarships.
