Margaret Wheatley’s Keynote Address to BOM Academy
October 13 @ 11:00 am - 12:15 pm CDT
GBHEM is excited to announce Margaret Wheatley as the keynote speaker for BOM Academy 2020-2021 on Oct. 13 at 11:00 a.m. CDT. Wheatley is a world-renowned leadership and organizational expert and the author of nine bestselling books.
Her address will challenge church leaders with the question and title of her recent book, “Who Do We Choose to Be?” In the midst of growing global crises, Wheatley will speak about facing reality, claiming leadership and restoring sanity. She will discuss how we can return leadership to a noble profession—one that creates possibility and humaneness in the midst of increasing fear and turmoil.
Keynote attendance is included in the registration price for all BOM Academy students, however this event is also open to others. Those who are not BOM students may register and pay a $25 event fee to view Wheatley’s speech via Zoom.
In addition to her keynote on October 13, Wheatley will conduct a two-hour premiere leadership workshop on Oct. 16. It is open to all interested church leaders, but workshop space is limited to 75 participants in order to facilitate a more interactive experience. The $50 workshop fee also includes participation in a small peer-led study group prior to Friday’s event. Each study group will include no more than 12 participants. Students will have the option to select a study group time once they have registered for the workshop.
