Who We AreThe legacy of Christian student leadership in The United Methodist Church spans many generations. Through the United Methodist Student Movement and the annual Student Forum, young adults continue to have an important place and a voice within the church. Students are joining hands, strengthening connections, and working together to create a new generation of Christian leaders. Today we see evidence that both the United Methodist Student Movement and Student Forum, the denomination’s only annual national leadership development event for college students, are playing a pivotal role in leadership formation. For that reason, since 2006, Student Forum has been open to all UM college students each year. An intentional emphasis is being placed on a high-quality leadership training program. Organized and led by the UMSM Steering Committee, Forum provides hands on leadership training as well as giving college students a collective voice in the life of the church.
