Historically Black Colleges and Universities

The United Methodist Church supports the largest number of Black colleges and universities of any church body in the United States. These colleges are dedicated to ensuring everyone with a dream and a commitment to excel is eligible to enroll, regardless of race, class, gender, or ethnic heritage. While most small colleges offer intimate classroom settings, low teacher/pupil ratios, and dedicated faculties, these schools place a special emphasis on education for service and leadership.
