Hi, my name is Mic Mohler (sounds like Mike). It is like a microphone, but not because I can sing - trust me. I am a second year student at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH studying to receive my MDiv. I am seeking ordination as an elder in the West Ohio Annual Conference. Before arriving at seminary I went to THE Ohio State University for my undergrad in Religious Studies. I am currently serving as a Youth Minister in Columbus, OH and having a blast every day.
I want to be an elder with a vision. I have a passion for revitalization in the church. I want to wake up the somber Christians and enable and empower them to make a change within themselves and in the world. How amazing would it be to start a church for the un-churched? A church for all those who do not like church. It breaks my heart to see churches that are stagnant or even worse slowly falling apart. With the right vision and through the strength of God, we can create a church that is on fire. I do not know about you, but I get chills just thinking about that. When I am not working or studying for school, I am outdoors with High Adventure, golfing, bowling, and I like long walks on the beach (sounds like a dating site). I love to hang out with friends and occasionally read and write. I am glad to be a part of YASN, and help to make a difference to support young seminarians. |
