This summer Tariq began the candidacy process toward ordination in the Arkansas Annual Conference. Tariq is passionate about congregational care, worship, and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In his spare time he enjoys bowling, spending time with friends, and enjoying the company of his wife, Tamika Cummings. |

Tariq Zayid Cummings is a first year seminary student at Gammon Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. Tariq serves as the Youth Minister at the Cliftondale United Methodist Church. Gifted in music and working with youth, he received his B.S. in Sociology from Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas.
