Profile: Lorrin Pringle

My name is Lorrin Pringle and I represent Boston University School of Theology on the YASN Standing Committee. I am originally from Ohio and am part of the West Ohio Annual Conference. I chose Boston University School of Theology (BUSTH) because of its passionate commitment to social justice, dedication to community, and wonderful faculty! I am currently a first year student at BUSTH pursing a Masters of Divinity degree, in preparation for ordination as an elder in The United Methodist Church. Specifically, I am called to local church and community ministry, with a particular emphasis on pastoral care/counseling and justice issues.

As a part of the YASN Standing Committee, I am excited to be a part of engaging, inspiring, and challenging conversations surrounding the experience of Young Adults in Seminary, as well as helping to be a voice for young seminarians at BUSTH and beyond. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Standing Committee, as ministry with young people is a particular passion of mine and a place where I feel The United Methodist Church has great potential!

When I’m not studying, I serve Boston University as a resident assistant in the School of Theology House, and have a variety of other interests. I enjoy running, spending time with others, exploring Boston and New England, and singing/songwriting.
