Support, strengthen and enhance global United Methodist higher education and ordered ministry.Objective 1:By 2008, establish the vehicles for the Methodist Global Education Fund in five regions -- Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the United States -- to be operational to raise and administer funds.
Objective 2:By March 2008, develop our own theological document that reflects our understanding of and contributes to the conversation of what it means to be a global and connectional church.
Objective 3:By 2010, collaborate with Central Conferences to increase understanding of the ministries of the deacon, elder and local pastor.
Objective 4:By 2010, create a plan for collaborative models and partnership in education between Methodist institutions of higher education using technology to deliver teaching and training across the world.
Objective 5:In collaboration with the Central Conference members of GBHEM, establish policies, priorities, and procedures for the distribution of funds budgeted for global theological education.
