The College offers twenty-four areas of study in Education, the Social Sciences, the Humanities, and in Natural and Behavioral Sciences and Mathematics. Numerous opportunities to study at other higher education institutions at home and abroad are available to continue the educational enrichment of Bennett's students.

Bethune-Cookman University | Daytona Beach, FL

See a school spotlight here! In 1904, Mary Jane McLeod Bethune founded Bethune-Cookman University. There are 36 stately brick buildings on the main campus and, under the Continuing Education Program, the university currently operates extension sites in the state of Florida in Bradenton, Fort Pierce, Gainesville, Spuds (branch campus), Sanford, West Palm Beach, and a weekend university on campus.

Claflin University, founded in 1869 as Claflin College, is the oldest historically Black college or university in South Carolina. It was also the first college in the state to welcome all students regardless of race or gender. The University offers broad based education in liberal arts and sciences combined with internships and other career-focused programs. The University currently offers a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA), a Master of Science in Biotechnology, Master of Education and 33 undergraduate majors.

See a school spotlight here!Clark Atlanta University is a comprehensive, private, urban, coeducational institution of higher education with a predominantly African-American heritage. It offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees as well as certificate programs to students of diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. It was formed by the consolidation of Atlanta University, which offered only graduate degrees, and Clark College, a four-year undergraduate institution oriented to the liberal arts.

The College was initially known as Paine Institute and was established to train preachers and teachers to educate the newly freed slaves. In 1903 Paine Institute was re-chartered as The Paine College. Paine College is a Historically Black, private, church-related, four-year, co-educational college.

Wiley College, the first historically Black college west of the Mississippi, was founded in 1873.
