Members of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church say their pastor has a gift for "making you get it." The Rev. Ronnie Miller-Yow's style of preaching resonates with all ages but especially young people. As chaplain of Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Yow has many opportunities to help young people become leaders in their church and community. He also leads by example in his role as national president of Black Methodists for Church Renewal. Legacy LeadersThe nurture, protection and promotion of the legacies of the schools of the United Methodist Church’s Black College Fund is the unique responsibility of Presidents, Institutional Advancement offices and Public Relations directors. View a list of legacy leaders for 2011 here. How Can I Support the Black College Fund?By encouraging your local church to pay 100% of its Black College Fund apportionment, you are supporting the BCF and the United Methodist-related historically Black colleges and universities. You can also make a direct donation to any of the 11 Black colleges supported by the BCF. Those colleges and universities and their Web sites are listed here.
