Regional Hubs

The Methodist Global Education Fund for Leadership Development (MGEFLD) guided the contextual assessment, strategic planning, fundraising, institutional development, and structure required to promote and sustain a collaborative global network that that consist of five regional hubs for Global Methodist Education.

Mission

To promote actions that create, support, strengthen, and develop Global Methodist Education, as well as establishing partnerships to contribute to the United Methodist commitment to form new leaders who can shape the future and transform the world.

Values

  • Educational projects that affirm and highlight the Methodist confessional identity;
  • Actions that are ethical, environmental sustainable, and socially responsible;
  • Services that are high quality, with balance and respect for all the involved parts;
  • Activities that show commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsibility.

Regional Strategies

Before it becomes involved in any program, the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry seeks to understand the state of educational mission, programs, and infrastructure of Methodist churches and institutions in a particular context. Through these hubs, the agency can define the best partners, assess educational and technological needs, and design a plan to promote leadership development for The United Methodist Church worldwide.
