Educational Leaders

The Office of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (SCU) supports Presidents/CEOs in the vocation of guiding more than 700 educational institutions around the world. We provide opportunities for you to connect with peers through two professional associations: IAMSCU and NASCUMC. These connections enable you to discuss important issues from the shared perspective of your institution's relationship to The United Methodist Church, and they create opportunities for partnerships and treasured personal relationships.

SCU provides professional development opportunities for faculty and staff, including training for prospective presidents on the value of the connection to The United Methodist Church. We also provide data and consultation to assist institutional leaders in dealing with specific challenges and seizing strategic opportunities.
