UMEA Endowment Fund

The UMEA Endowment Fund is overseen by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry (GBHEM) Board of Directors and is managed by GBHEM’s Investment Committee.

Funds generated from the endowment will be used in the following ways: The UMEA Endowment Fund exists to empower the endorsing agency and underwrite programs for their constituency, including chaplains and pastoral counselors. An initial goal for the endowment is $3 million to be raised over the next four years.

  • Supplement program expenditures for the endorsed constituency (i.e., continuing education, colloquiums) domestically and internationally 

  • Create resources (e.g., books, articles, videos) related to ministry in the endorsed community

  • Supplement travel expenses for endorsed constituents on an identified need basis

Your Opportunity to Give to the Endowment Fund

This is a four year (December 2016 – 2020) campaign to raise funds for the support of UMEA Programs for our Chaplains and Pastoral Counselors. We ask in addition to your monetary gift that you also fill out our Statement of Intent Form and send to umea@gbhem.org.

1. Donate online and scan and email a completed copy of the Statement of Intent form to umea@gbhem.org

2. Print the Statement of Intent Form and mail along with your check or money order made out to GBHEM, with UMEA Endowment Fund Campaign in the memo line.
